How We Can Help
Most people come to us with one question and leave with a clearer view of the whole picture. Some need a full financial plan. Others want a second opinion on a portfolio, a retirement income strategy or a life insurance policy they already own. Pick the service that matches your question, or start with financial advising and we will sort out the rest together.

Wealth Management
One coordinated approach to your investments, taxes, retirement income, insurance and legacy, with every recommendation explained in plain words before you decide.

Financial Advising
Bring us a specific money question, like a job offer, an old 401(k) or a windfall, and we walk you through your options and what each one means.
Financial Planning
A written financial plan that connects your budget, savings, debt, insurance and long-term goals, with every choice explained so you can follow it.
Investment Management
We build and look after a portfolio matched to your goals and timeline, and we tell you in plain words what you own, why you own it and what it costs.
Retirement Planning
Find out when you can stop working, what your monthly paycheck in retirement will look like and how to make your savings last, with each choice put in plain terms.
Legacy Planning
Organize beneficiaries, accounts and gifting so the wealth you built reaches the people and causes you choose, with each option laid out clearly.
Tax Management
We look at where your money sits, how it is taxed and when you draw on it, so fewer of your returns go to taxes over the long term.
Life Insurance Consulting
Find out how much coverage your family really needs, what term and permanent policies do, and whether the policies you already own still fit.
What Goes Into the Cost of Advice
Financial advice does not come with one standard price tag, and a quote given before anyone knows your situation is only a guess. The cost follows the kind of help you want and the way it is delivered. During our first conversation we explain what each option would cost you, and you sign nothing until it sits right with you.
Each recommendation arrives with its cost written out in everyday language, and we move ahead only after you understand it and say yes.
- A one-time plan or ongoing help
- A planning project with a defined end point is set up differently from ongoing investment management, where we monitor and adjust your portfolio year after year.
- How many moving parts you have
- One person with a single retirement account is a simpler picture than a family juggling several accounts, stock options, rental income or a business. More pieces take more work to coordinate.
- The assets we manage
- When we manage investments for you, the cost is often linked to the amount under management. We show you the exact calculation.
- Life insurance policies
- If a policy fits your plan, the insurance company pays a commission. We explain how that works and how it stacks up against other ways to get coverage.
- Business owner questions
- Owner retirement plans, buy-sell agreements and succession planning add layers that a personal plan does not carry.

About Financial Advisor Marlboro
We run this practice for people who feel lost in financial jargon or who have been handed a product without a real explanation. Our clients range from young couples saving for their first goals to retirees deciding how to draw down savings and business owners thinking about what comes after the business.
Our approach is simple. We teach as we go. If you leave a meeting with us knowing more about your own money than when you walked in, we did our job. You can learn more on our About page.

What Working With Us Looks Like
No stack of forms on the first day. This is how things usually go.
- 1
A phone call to start
You tell us briefly what is on your mind, and we pick a time to sit down at the office or talk by phone or video.
- 2
The introductory meeting
We start by listening. We ask about your goals, your worries, your family and what you already have. You can ask us anything, including how we are paid, and nobody expects you to sign up that day.
- 3
Options laid out clearly
If we can help, we follow up with written recommendations. Each one explains what it does, what it costs, the risks and what happens if you leave things as they are. Take whatever time you need to decide.
- 4
Putting the plan to work
Once you choose a direction, we go through the account setup and paperwork alongside you, one step at a time, so you always know what is happening.
- 5
Ongoing check-ins
Life rarely stands still. A new job, a new grandchild or the sale of a business can change what makes sense. We sit down with you at set intervals to revisit the plan, and sooner if something major comes up.
Why Clients Choose to Work With Us
Money decisions are easier when you understand them. We take the time to teach, and we let you set the pace.
Every term gets translated
Expense ratios, required minimum distributions, beneficiary designations, term versus permanent coverage. We tell you what each one means for you, in everyday words, before we suggest anything.
You see how we are paid
Before you commit to anything, we walk you through how our compensation works on the specific services or products we discuss. If a recommendation pays us differently than another option would, we tell you.
Options, not a single answer
Most financial questions have more than one reasonable answer. We lay out two or three paths, the trade-offs of each, and which one we would lean toward and why. The final call is yours.
Written summaries you keep
After our meetings you get the key points and next steps in writing, so you can review them later or share them with a spouse, an adult child or your accountant.
Meet the way that suits you
Come into the office for a face-to-face conversation, or join a phone or video call when your schedule is tight. Many couples like video because both partners can log on from work or wherever they happen to be.
Questions People Ask Before Their First Meeting
Something not covered here? (732) 538-8223
What happens in the introductory meeting?
Think of it as a conversation, not a pitch. We ask about your goals, your concerns and what you already have in place, and you can ask us anything, including how we are paid. If we see a way to help, we describe what that would involve. If we are not a good fit, we tell you plainly.
How much money do I need to work with you?
You do not need a set amount to start talking with us. Some clients mainly want planning advice, while others have larger portfolios they would like managed. We will be honest about which of our services fits where you are right now.
How do you get paid?
That depends on the service. Ongoing investment management, a planning project and a life insurance policy are each paid for in a different way. We lay out the cost of every recommendation in plain terms before you agree to it, so no fee ever shows up as a surprise later.
What is the difference between financial planning and investment management?
Financial planning looks at the full picture: cash flow, savings, retirement, insurance, taxes and what you hope to pass on. Investment management is the hands-on work of choosing and adjusting the holdings in your portfolio. Plenty of clients end up doing both, and it is perfectly fine to begin with just one.
Will you push me to buy something?
No. We would much rather you take your time and understand your choices than buy something you do not need. Our recommendations come in writing, so you can take them with you, discuss them with family and come back with questions.
Do I have to meet in person?
Not at all. Some clients enjoy coming into the office, and others handle everything by phone or video. A lot of people combine the two, meeting face to face the first time and switching to video for later check-ins.
Can you help with what I leave to my family?
Yes. Our legacy planning work covers beneficiary designations, how accounts transfer to heirs and where life insurance can play a role. New Jersey has an inheritance tax that can apply to some beneficiaries, so we pay attention to who inherits, not only how much. Your attorney handles the legal documents, and we coordinate with them.

Let's Talk About Your Goals
Bring your questions, your statements or just a rough idea of what worries you. We will show you where you stand and what your options are, in words that make sense.
